Lucie Awards at Carnegie Hall
The Lucie Awards are the annual awards honoring exceptional achievement in photography. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of attending the event, which was held at Carnegie Hall. Among many honorees, this year, two Chicagoans were honored - Victor Skrebneski and John H White. However the highlight of the evening was witnessing Chinese Li Zhensheng accepting his award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Photography, and photographing the audience with his camera phone while his translator stood at the podium. Quite the evening! Congratulations to all of the honorees and winners!

Industry On-Goings: Campaign for Dance NYC
A new campaign that urges New Yorkers to support dance as an art form! Those who know me, know I love dance (see the work with photographer Sean Williams for the Joffrey Ballet here). This would have been an excellent project to work on. Read the NYTimes article here
